Keep The Fire Burning
For every believer, there need to always be fire on your altar. That is why we advocate the importance of prayer and living a life of hoilness, in Leviticus 6:13 The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out. The perpetual fire on the altar symbolises our continuous commitment to seeking God's presence and turning away from our own ways, as our ways can hinder us. The Bible says there is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
When your altar is left without fire, that individual becomes distant from God's presence because we cannot approach God with sin. The fire on the altar serves as a reminder that we must always be vigilant in our pursuit of holiness. It is easy to become complacent and let our guard down, but we must resist this temptation. We must keep the fire burning within us, fueled by our passion for God and our desire to live according to His will. This requires discipline and sacrifice, as we must be willing to give up our own desires and submit ourselves fully to God's plan for our lives. We must also be mindful of the dangers of sin, which can easily derail us from our path. By keeping the fire burning on the altar of our hearts, we can stay connected to God's presence and continue on the path of righteousness. So let us heed the call to keep the fire burning, and may it serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for all who seek to follow in God's footsteps.
