DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SUNDAY JUNE 18 2023

Memory Verse:

 "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

Ephesians 4:32

Inspirations:

"Unity is not about being uniform; it is about embracing our differences and cooperating with one another to achieve a common goal."

Prophetic word:

"There is a shift happening in the spiritual realm, where the Church will rise up in unprecedented power, breaking strongholds and ushering in a season of revival and transformation."

Prayer Points:

1. Pray for unity and love among believers, that we may demonstrate the character of Christ in our relationships.

2. Ask God to grant you wisdom and discernment in all areas of life, to make godly choices and decisions.

3. Pray for spiritual strength and empowerment to stand firm against the enemy's schemes and to walk in victory.

4. Holy Spirit, empower me with the faith and boldness to reach out to others with the good news of the kingdom, just as Jesus commanded in Matthew 9:37-38.

5. Father, I pray for an abundance of laborers for the harvest, that many souls may come to know you and experience your grace and salvation.

Listen to

To God be the glory
00:00 / 03:10

To God be the glory! Great things He hath done!

So loved He the world that He gave us His Son;

Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,

And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

Let the earth hear His voice!

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

Let the people rejoice!

O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son:

and give Him the glory! Great things He hath done!

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood!

To every believer the promise of God;

The vilest offender who truly believes,

That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,

And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;

But purer, and higher, and greater will be

Our wonder, our rapture, when Jesus we see.

To God be the glory

Walking in Love and Unity

I believe the reason the body of Christ is so disorganized today is not only due to the attacks of the demonic kingdom but also because of the works of the flesh. The majority of Christians exhibit fleshly characters in their daily dealings and, hence, cannot walk together in harmony. We are called to walk together in love, unity, and fear of the Lord. Most believers don't fear God; they only fear their problems.

We need to embrace our call to live a life worthy of our calling and always be gentle, demonstrating humility, patience, and bearing with one another in love. We need to learn how to value and utilise the diverse gifts and talents God has given to each of us. We need to build one another up in love by speaking words of encouragement and extending forgiveness as Christ has forgiven us.

We need to put off the old self and be renewed in the spirit of our mind, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform our thoughts and actions. We need to always avoid behaviours and attitudes that grieve the holy spirit and instead imitate Christ's love and selflessness.

Remember, we are on a battlefield; we need to equip ourselves with the armour of God to stand against the enemy's schemes.

Take up the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (the Word of God).

Pray fervently and be alert, relying on the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome spiritual opposition and advance the kingdom of God.
